He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke M. Nash and Muriel Weber; his stepfather Bill Weber; and his brother Luke G. Nash. He is survived by: his sister Jody Nash of Red Wing; his sister-in-law Lynnette Nash of Mantorville; his niece Alexa Nash; his nephew Luke B. Nash; his uncle Jim Nash; his aunts, Linda Brunkhorst (Dick) and Mary Nash; and his close friends, Missy Stewart and Steve Wood.

“My deepest condolences to Steve's family. I was at the methodist hospital for 5 weeks of cross training where I met officer Steve Nash. He was very kind as he welcomed me to the team with professionalism. He assured me that I will be fine here and will be able to learn a lot from the trainers.
