He was predeceased by: his wife Peg; and his sisters, Nona Nelson and Wanda Henke. He is survived by: his children, Amy Smith (Kevin) of Red Wing, Jon Salmonson (Vonnie) of Cannon Falls and Lori Bowen (John) of Red Wing; his grandchildren, Lisa Davis (Jason), Noah, Maria Salmonson, Matt, Mike and Megan Bowen; his great grandchild Chloe Davis; his sister Linda Brown (Mel) of Otho, Iowa; and his brother-in-law Leland Henke of Niobrara. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials are preferred to the Leo C. Peterson American Legion, Post 54.
