The passing of Richard J. Johnson of Red Wing, Minnesota leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 13, 2024 at the age of 91. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Johnson and Marie Dale Johnson; and his brothers, James and Charles. He is survived by : his wife Laura Ann Sparstad; his children, Dawn Jones (Ray), Jim Johnson (Marlene), Mark Johnson (Lisa) and Karen Schell (Geno); and his sisters, Mary Stephenson and JoAnn Porter. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; 2 grand dogs.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar United Lutheran Church (628 W 5th St, Red Wing, MN 55066).
Memorials are preferred to United Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
