He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Heine and Elsie Heine (Kalbus); and his siblings, Allen Sr. (Dorothy), Howard (Marilyn Jane) and Marion Watson (Forrest).

He is survived by: his nephews, Allen Heine (Michelle) of Grand Marais, MN, John Heine of North St, David Watson of Red Wing and Todd Watson (Kathryn) of Waconia; and his niece Mary Rauterkus (Ralph) of Red Wing.
