He was predeceased by: his nephew Kevin Quam; and his stepson Ronald Owen III. He is survived by: his former wives, Gladys Reams and Dorothy Carlson; his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Suefert; his son Dennis Quam (Nancy) of Battle Lake, Minn.; his grandchildren, Amanda (Moises), Darren and Ashley Quam; his stepdaughter Patricia Owen of Cottage Grove; his stepgrandchildren, Eleanor Brinsko of Sun Prairie and Michael Peterson of Cottage Grove; his stepgreat-grandson Peter Brinsko of Sun Prairie, Wis.; his brothers, Dareld Quam (Eileen) of Cannon Falls and Roger Quam (Judy) of Cannon Falls; his nephew Kerry Quam (Lynn); and his nieces, Krisanda Corelli, Deanna Nielsen (Gregory), Traci Jacobson (Sam) and Jessica Braaten (Matthew).
