She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Kuhlman and Hattie Kuhlman (Meyer); her husband Thomas Filson; and her siblings, Wilbert and Berniece.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Jan Rowekamp (Tom), Mary Kuhlman, Dean Kuhlman (Cyndy), Gene Schroeder (Roxann) and David Schroeder (Michelle); her friend Silvey Barge; and her pet Maisie.
