With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Luverne M. Thompson of Red Wing, Minnesota, born in Zumbrota, Minnesota, who passed away on December 4, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Thompson and Martha Thompson (Kopang); his daughter Lynn Marie; and his siblings, Elton, Oscar, Raymond, Marilyn Carlson and Clarice Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn St. John; his daughter Theresa Will (Scott) of Red Wing; his grandchildren, Zachary Will (TaNesha) of Red Wing, Lauren Strauss (Steven) of Red Wing and Lydia Will of Red Wing; his great grandchildren, William, Vivian, Greta and Walter; and his sisters, Lois Wipperling of Red Wing and Mo Thompson (Donna) of Kansas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
