He was predeceased by: his parents, John Johnson and Harriette Johnson Sr. (Chattmon); and his son John V. Johnson III. He is survived by: his friend Cheryl Torbenson; and his children, Erica E. Titus-Davis (Johnson), Amanda Johnson-White, Rachel Johnson and David Johnson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 2. 5 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, and many dear friends and "adopted" (in heart) children.
