He was predeceased by: his grandchildren, Megan Ness, Katie Ness and Ben Swenson; and his son-in-law Rollie Ness. He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Tom of Red Wing, Lori Ness of Rochester and Kris Swenson (Scott) of Rosemount; his grandchildren, Lindsay Macken (Derrick), Mitchell Ness and Ashley Swenson; his great grandchild Lucas Macken; his sisters, Marlys Odean of Aurora, Marilyn Diercks (Stanley) of Red Wing and Audrey Horn (Jim) of Red Wing; and his brother-in-law Joe Kunze of Maple Grove.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. John's Lutheran Church endowment fund or the National Kidney Foundation.
