It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James H. Isensee of Red Wing, Minnesota, born in Lake City, Minnesota, who passed away on August 1, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Isensee and Margarene Isensee (Dose); his wife Lucy; and his siblings, John and Joan Wilcox.

He is survived by: his children, Ann Vogel (Marc) of Red Wing, Mark (Nancy) of Wister, OK and Beth Skalko (Bob) of Mountain Iron, MN; his grandchildren, Tony Vogel (Mead McKay), Kelly Lexvold (Ross), Scott Skalko (Jessica) and Craig Skalko (Maggie); and his great grandchildren, David, Thomas Lexvold, James, Ellie, Georgia and Theodore Skalko. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Red Wing Conservation Club.

“Sending thoughts and prayers to your family. I will always think of Jim fondly. My earliest memories of him were of a friendly, warm, positive person I would see at family reunions. I know my father (Bill Heise) and Jim fished the backwaters of the Mississippi down by Lake City and Wabasha when they were young. My parents and Jim and Lucy were very close.
