He was predeceased by: his parents, George Fairbanks and Lena Fairbanks (Brisson); and his son-in-law James Lohmann. He is survived by: his wife Donna Lee; his children, Scott Fairbanks (Jeannie), LeeAnn Lohmann (Scott Bremer), Mike Fairbanks (Jo), Kristen Bohmbach (Jon), Mimi Edon (Eric), Jonathan Fairbanks and Missy Anderson (Jeff); his brother Bernard Fairbanks (Mary Kay); and his foster sister Joyce Rea. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mayo Clinic Hospice—Red Wing or Red Wing Booster Club.
