He is survived by: his children, Gregg (Kathy) of Lake City, Debra Kirkland of Neenah, Michael of Welch and Betsy Brown (Keith) of Goodhue; his grandchildren, Heather, Matthew, Caitlin, Lauren and Brian; his brother Dan Kirkland (Bunny) of La Crosse; and his sister-in-law Delores Eastman of Illinois. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
