He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Wartenberg and Margaret Wartenberg (Dobie); his stepson James Wersal; and his brother Richard Wartenberg. He is survived by: his daughter Erica Wartenberg; his stepson Jason; his close friend Sherry Oleson; his sister-in-law Marilyn Wartenberg; and his nieces, Nancy Williams (Jonathan) and Brenda (Tye).
Memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association.
