He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Steele and Marie Steele (Meier); and his siblings, Richard, Jerry, Dorothy, Eleene and Ray.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Mandery of Red Wing; his sons, Michael Steele (Aimee Martinek) of Hager City, Jeffrey Steele of Mazeppa and John Steele (Desiree) of Red Wing; his grandchildren, Chase and Dylan; and his sister Kathy Mandrey (Wes Thompson) of Rochester. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
