He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Bang and Harriet Bang (Muhlman); his brother Paul Bang; his parents-in-law, Arthur and Martha "Jane" Funk; and his brother-in-law Tom Farrell.
He is survived by: his wife Marthene Funk of Red Wing; his sons, Shawn Bang (Edwena) of Red Wing and Bjorn Bang (Ann) of Esdaile; his grandchildren, Crissanda Andrist (Ben), Travis Hanson (Caitie Rose), Zoia and Zeke Bang; his brother Robert Bang (Redina) of Ellsworth; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Funk (Maureen), Conrad Funk (Mary), Juliann Holmes (Lee), Laurel Mason and Raynee Farrell. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and several trucking friends.
