He was predeceased by: his parents, Nordeen Grove and Alice Grove (Lindem); his wife Mavis Fern Ydstie; his daughter-in-law Lynette; and his siblings, Sherlen, Levonne and Jean Carpenter.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Dean Grove of Dilworth, MN, Allen Grove (Sue) of Glyndon, MN, Linda Wilson (Robert) of Plummer, MN, Kenneth Grove (Kathy) of Moorhead, MN, Lorie Syring (John) of Montevideo, MN and Jonathan Grove of Highlanding, MN; his grandchildren, Adam, Aric, Josh, Amy, Michael, Michelle, Kaitln, Kailey and Lexie; his great grandchildren, Parker, Hadley, Benson, Bailey, Clayton, Colton, Owen, Liam, Jacob, Benjamin, Grace, Michael, Brady, Matthew, Aiden and Carter; and his siblings, Darrell Grove, Rodney Grove (Diane), Red Lake Falls and Cheryl Hince (Russell) of Brooks, MN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
