He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Melvin and Lucille Ellen Kleven (Solberg); and his grandparents, Alfred, Clara Kleven, Elmer and Mable Solberg.

He is survived by: his granddaughter Wendy; his wife Kathy Ilene Ford of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Michael Kleven (Nina), Jonathan Kleven (Jill) and Wendy Tellez (Adam); his grandchildren, Luke Kleven, Lucy Kleven, Jane Kleven, Cru Tellez, Byrdie Tellez, Charlie Kleven and Owen Kleven; and his brothers, Scott Kleven (Julie) and John Kleven (Mary). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
