He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick Sportel and Grace Sportel (Bestge). He is survived by: his wife Elaine Iverson of Raymond; his son Dan (Patricia); his grandsons, Will and Dylan of Sandy, UT.; his siblings, Chuck Sportel (Annette), Carol Reigstad (Roger) and Connie Bourne (Melvin); and his nieces and nephews, Rhonda Sandahl, Amy Larkin, Robin Reigstad, Ricky Reigstad, Ryan Sportel, Ross Sportel and Aaron Bourne.
In lieu of flowers Dave requested donations to the Fisher House in Minneapolis.
