He is survived by: his spouse Mary Jean Aldrich; his pet Benji; his children, Laurie Dykema (Dave), Randy Schmidt and Michael Schmidt (Bobbie); his sister Irene; and his fiancé Ellen Breneman. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
