She was predeceased by: her parents, Awalt Birkholz and Frieda Birkholz (Stueven); her former husband Ray Schmieg; her siblings, Wilma Nelson, Wilton Birkholz and Virgil Birkholz; and her siblings-in-law, Peter Nelson, Harvey Drusch, Dick Rolf, Ramona Birkholz and Lorraine Drusch.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Drusch; her children, Barry Schmieg (Teresa), Vicki Schultz (Bradley) and Scott Schmieg; her stepchildren, Steve Drusch, Connie Svendsen (Bob), Joe Drusch (Karen), Debbie Vialpando (Michael), Dan Drusch and Donna Gatz (Steve); her brother Merrill Birkholz; and her sisters-in-law, Ann Birkholz and Elaine Heyer (Larry). She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
