He was predeceased by: his father Bob Kastanek; and his sister Shirley Stancek. He is survived by: his wife Shelly Kastanek of Staples, MN.; his children, Erik Kastanek of Brooklyn Center and Elizabeth Dupre (Brandon); his grandson Elijah; his mother Irene Kastanek; his sister Debbie Kastanek of Hibbing; his in-laws, Vern and Jean Popowski; and his brother-in-law Jason (Amy).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation in Marvin's name be made to Quiet Oaks Hospice House (5537 Galaxy Road, St. Cloud MN 56301).
