He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Keimig and Armetha Keimig (Miller); his grandson John Patrick Keimig; his siblings, Joseph Keimig, Elizabeth Smith and Donny Keimig; his wife Claretta; his children, Jeff Keimig (Terri), Steve Keimig (Wendy), Ed Keimig (Kari), Lori Ferris (Jo), Estabrooks and Darin "Curby" Keimig (Paula); his grandchildren, Nicole Draine (Dan), Katie Olynyk (Dusty), Tamara Morsching (Shannon), Candice Penfield (James), Matthew Ferris, MacKenzie Ferris (Kara), MeLinda Herrera (Jose Luis), Grace Estabrooks, Heather Jenks (Sean) and Erica Keimig; his great grandchildren, Lucia, Anne, J. P., Cameron, Rylie, Austin, Kian, Niah, Izabelle, Zachery, Tessa and Madison; his siblings, Marie Simonton, Robert Keimig (Joyce), Jerry Keimig (Karen), Tom Keimig, Jim Keimig (Karen), Frances Grimlie, Patty Boettcher, Sarah Wynn, Dolly Pederson (Roger) and Marvin Keimig (Karen); his sister-in-law Cathy Keimig; and also John. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.
