She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roger Mahlkuch and Colleen Mahlkuch; her sister Jennifer Elizabeth Mahlkuch; her husband Jim Gilbertson; her sons, Sam and Cal; her pet Ellie; the father of her children Jim; her sister Katee Dupont (Michael "Dewy"); her godson Mac; and her grandparents, Lawrence, Mary Dunphy, Ralph and Sylvia Mahlkuch. She was also cherished by loving aunts, uncles, friends, co-workers and classmates.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used to establish a memorial fund for her sons.
