He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lawrence Hunter and Evelyn Hunter (Meyer); his wife Pamela Miller; his children, Brad Hunter (Cindy), Michael Hunter (Jessica) and Lissa Golanowski (Brian); his grandchildren, Ben, Sophie, Violet Hunter, Marinna, Grace, Talia Hunter and Jackson Golanowski; his brothers, Ed Hunter (Cynthia), Chuck Hunter (Debbie Gantner) and Bruce Hunter (Wendy); his siblings-in-law, Paul "Shorty" Miller (Faye) and Colleen Miller; his parents-in-law, Paul and Ruth Miller; and his brother-in-law Earl Miller. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
