He is survived by: his wife Karen Von Guten; his sister Sharon Lawton; his children, Alyssa Ondich (Ken) and Nathan David Von Guten; his grandchildren, Sam, Brekken, Kailea and Athena; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Skaar (Daryl), Betty Frederick (Mike), Donna Beranek (Bill), Ellen Gearing (Rod) and Todd Johnson (Carrie); his godchildren, Kim Lien, John Horn, Kristen Larson and Jennifer Mahar; and his pet Daisy Mae. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Lake Lutheran Church (3611 N Berens Rd NW, Prior Lake, MN 55379). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
