She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Hermanus Gerardus and Johanna Theresia Nieuwland (Mazeland); her husband Hendrikus Jon Veldhuis (Henk); her children, Jerry Veldhuis (Betty), Harry Veldhuis (Lori), Ann Marie Norris (Brad), Janet Kennedy (Kevin), Sonja Rodriguez (Jeff) and Robert Veldhuis (Jolene); her parents-in-law, Ted and Betty Veldhuis; and also, Bonnie Lund (Jeff) and Mark Veldhuis (Karen).

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to be distributed to charities by Cathy's family.
