It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katie Swart of Prinsburg, Minnesota, who passed away on February 14, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Katie Swart to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence; her son-in-law Eugene Schwitters; and her brothers, Ben Van Hove and Ted Van Hove. She is survived by: her children, Dennis Swart (Joann) of Prinsburg, Larry Swart (Karla) of Prinsburg, Janice Damhof (Warren) of Prinsburg and Joyce Schwitters of Clara City; her grandchildren, Lisa Mulder (Terry), Jamie Swart (Wendy), Wade Damhof (Rachel), Jina Ruschen (Joel), Christopher Damhof (Lisa), Jason Schwitters (Stacy), Angela Brouwer (Jeffrey), Megan Taatjes (Ben), Carrie Asake, Emily Gerdes (Zach) and Allie Lundeen (Josh); her brother Donald Van Hove (Reva) of Hale, Michigan; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Van Hove of Willmar and Marian Tinklenberg (Darrel) of Pipestone. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Central Minnesota Christian School or First CRC of Prinsburg KDJS Radio Fund.

“My daughter worked as a CNA for Katie. She was my daughter’s favorite. Through chatting with her Danni found out she likes dogs . We had just gotten a Newfoundland puppy as well as having an 8 year old. We brought them to her window this winter. She asked if we could stay longer, Couldn’t say no to that 💕”
