We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2020, at the age of 83, John Poortvliet of Prinsburg, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Joey Poortvliet; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Hibbits and James Norlien. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Bredeson; his sons, Tim Poortvliet (Kristin) of Raymond, Ken Poortvliet of Prinsburg and Don Poortvliet (Tawnya) of Prinsburg; his grandchildren, William, Jerry, Derek and Ava; his great grandchildren, Amelia and Salem; his siblings, David Poortvliet (Jan) of Houston, TX, Robert Poortvliet of Coppell, TX, Alda Jahnke (Don) of Buchanan Dam, TX, Lynn Elm of Bloomington, Lois Hibbits of Burnsville, Gary Poortvliet (Karen) of Comfrey and Marv Poortvliet of Apache Junction, AZ; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Bredeson of Kandiyohi and Marge Norlien of Minneapolis. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
