He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick D. Marcus and Cornelia Marcus (Dangermond); and his brothers, Rich and Stan Marcus. He is survived by: his wife Doris Fokken; his daughters, Kristine Melse (Jos) of Staples, Colleen Van Maanen (Don) of Lynden, WA, Carol Zwiers (Pete) of Prince George, B. C. and Peggy Boxum (David) of Eden Prairie; his grandchildren, Michael, Courtney, Robin, Paige, Autumn and Anna; his great grandchildren, Gerrit, Theo, Felix, Ellie and Leon; and his siblings, Abe Marcus (Doris) of Escondido, CA, Marcia Talsma of Jenison, MI and Cordell Marcus (Sharon) of Prinsburg.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Christian Reformed Church (106 6th St, Prinsburg, MN 56281). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to honor Don's life may be directed to Central Minnesota Christian School, Prinsburg First Responders or the Prinsburg Fire Department.
