He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto and Thresa (Henschel); his wife Irene Soderquist; and his brothers, Danny, Chester, Howard and Franklin.

He is survived by: his sons, Robert of Princeton, Randy (Teresa) of Dalbo and Russell (Myrna) of Princeton; and his grandchildren, Sonnie Prince, Nicole Hoeft and Ryan Hoeft. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
