She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Puranen and Fannie Puranen (Polvi); her husband John "Bud" Remer; and her siblings, Dorothy Tabor, Karen Emons (Richard) and Hugo Puranen (Rosemary).
She is survived by: her children, Jami of Princeton and Justin (Lisa) of Princeton; her grandchildren, Emma, Sadie and Addison; and her sisters, Pam Puranen of Anoka and Josie Bettinger (Randy) of Nowthen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
