He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Wesloh and Evelyn Wesloh (Enemark); his brother Bob; and his siblings-in-law, Louise Weissenfluh, Nancy Weissenfluh, Marolyn Wesloh, Darwin Weissenfluh, Kenneth Weissenfluh and John Grupe.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Weissenfluh; his sons, Darryl (Karen) and Darren (Michele); his grandchildren, Jeremy Wesloh (Crista), Aaron Johnson (Devin Olson), Dallas Peters (Morgan Lindell) and Melody Nyquist (Zach); his great grandchildren, Leia Jo Wesloh and Hope Johnson; his siblings, Ken (Claire), Merlyn (Velma), Margaret Janiak (Jerry), Virginia Grupe, Jean Matson (Jim) and John (Diane); and his siblings-in-law, David Weissenfluh (Karla), Mary Lou Pyykola (Don) and Leota Weissenfluh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bernie took advantage of National Science Foundation Grants at Rutgers University, Eastern Michigan University, and Northern Illinois University.
