He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hurt and Ellen Hurt (Burton); his sister Ruby Harp; and his grandchildren, Courtney Macht and Brook Hurt.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Denker; his children, Michelle Macht (Vern) of Canby, MN, James Hurt (Heather) of Woodlake, MN, Jeffrey Hurt (Amy) of Mt. Vernon, SD and Justin Hurt (Heather) of Bozeman, MT; his granddaughter Jennifer; his children, Brandon, Taylor, Ashlyn, Kyler, Jade, Chelsea, Jordan, Joe, Josh, Sarah, Wyatt, Hadley and Levi; and his sister Opal Carter of Chili, IN. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
