She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Denker and Fern Denker (Bolden); her husband John Hurt; and her grandchildren, Courtney Macht and Brook Hurt.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Macht (Vern) of Canby, MN, James Hurt (Heather) of Woodlake, MN, Jeffrey Hurt (Amy) of Mt. Vernon, SD and Justin Hurt (Heather) of Bozeman, MT; her granddaughter Jennifer; her children, Brandon, Taylor, Ashlyn, Kyler, Jade, Chelsea, Jordan, Joe, Josh, Sarah, Wyatt, Hadley and Levi; her sister Brenda Nelson (Don) of Granite Falls, MN; and her sister-in-law Opal Carter of Chili, IN.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel (111 5th St E, Canby, MN 56220). A prayer was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Houseman Funeral Home-Birk Chapel (111 5th St E, Canby, MN 56220). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (205 Spruce St, Porter, MN 56280).
