He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sr. Basswood and Anna Basswood (Rice); his daughter Loraine Basswood; his granddaughter Celena; his great grandchild Selena; and his siblings, Debbie Conklin, Rosetta Basswood, Richard Basswood Sr., Rolland Basswood, Maynard Basswood, Mary Lou Basswood, Doris Weaver and Jenny Mae Basswood.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Caylee and Cubby; his children, Donna Smith (Lenny), Jackie Adams, Carleen Basswood-Fineday (Butch), Sandy, Bruce, Brenda, Albert II, Sharon and Tommy Basswood; and his siblings, Pat Miller (Ed), Chinda Rock, Margaret "Dolly" Basswood and Delmar Basswood (Gina).
