He was predeceased by: his parents, John Skjerven and Alice Skjerven (Hanson); his grandparents, Hakon, Eliza Skjerven, Olaf and Hilda Hanson; his siblings, Jean Skjerven McCrary, Roger Skjerven (Charlotte "Pollie") and Jerome Skjerven (Emilie); and his brother-in-law James Peterson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Gayle Skjerven Peterson, Donald Skjerven (Nancy) and John Skjerven (Margaret). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
