She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Braaten and Louise Braaten (Christianson); her husband Eugene Carpenter; her son Danny; her grandsons, Danny and Jack; her great grandchild Janessa; her sisters, Gloria and Delphine; and her children-in-law, Vernon Hovet and Joan Carpenter.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Kelley (Jim) of Plummer, MN, Gary Carpenter of Lake George, MN, Lyle Carpenter (Fern) of Bagley, MN, Russ Carpenter of Plummer, MN, Melody Beaudoin of Idaho Falls, ID, Cindy Thomas (Bruce) of Manhattan, KS, Nancy Pederson (Randy), Corey Carpenter (Barb) of Cape Coral, FL and Kim Carpenter (Minette) of Hawley, MN; her grandchildren, Daryl, Dana, David, Dean, Deeann, Jimmer, Jeff, Jared, Sean, Tracy, Tanya, Grant, Jason, Blaine, Emily, Lori, Sally, Ross, Amy, Beth, Chad, Andrea, Alan, Arthur, Margaret, Danielle, Miranda, Tyler, Carolyn, Thomas, Kyrsten and Nick; her sister Merle Gagner; and also Carol Hovet of Wautoma, WI. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
