It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Emma Oelfke of Plato, Minnesota, born in Green Isle, Minnesota, who passed away on January 18, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Werner Albers and Emma Albers (Rolf); her husband Ronald Oelfke of John's Evangelical Lutheran Church; her parents-in-law, Leonard and Hilda Oelfke; her son-in-law Paul Mathwig; her grandson Michael Oelfke; her brother Henry Albers; and her siblings-in-law, Loren Oelfke and Aileen Albers.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Mathwig and Brad Oelfke (Kathy); her grandchildren, Amanda Westphal (Lance), Daniel Mathwig, Matthew Mathwig, Jenna Mathews (David), Caitlyn Mathwig, Joe McClellan, Eric Nugent (Zach) and Krysta Oelfke; her great grandchildren, Isabel Tigre, Jocelyn Tigre, Kristen Tigre, Leah Westphal, Hailey Mathwig, Blake Mathews, Bryce Mathews, Savannah Mathews, Riley McClellan, Spencer McClellan and Harvey McClellan; her godchildren, Lisa Krumwiede, Tammy Albers, Douglas Albers, Patti Dreier and Kim Miller; her brothers, Leonard Albers and Maynard Albers (Nancy); and her sisters-in-law, Melva Albers and Marlys Thomas (Gerry). She is also survived by Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
