He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Vergin and Esther Vergin (Kolstad); his siblings, Linda Carstens, Jane Lee, Floyd, Gary and Gene Vergin (Chuck); and his siblings-in-law, Margie Berens, Rhonda Berens, Beverly Berens, Kenny Carstens, Gene Berens, Vern Berens, Gerald Johnson and Walter Young.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Vergin of Glencoe, MN; his sons, Bradley Vergin (Susan Marty) of Eagan, MN, Kirk Vergin (Sarah) of Waconia, MN and Craig Vergin (Tamara) of Lester Prairie, MN; his grandchildren, Allie McIver (Kyle) of Roseville, MN, Zach Stern (Devyn) of Cologne, MN, Maxwell Vergin (Jamie) of Victoria, MN, Sydney Vergin of Scottsdale, AZ, Derek Vergin of Eagan, MN and Cooper Vergin of Waconia, MN; and his great grandchildren, Ella McIver, Asher McIver, Emily McIver of Roseville, MN and Taylor Stern of Cologne, MN. He is also survived by Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
