He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Melvin and Grace Melvin (McGrath); his wife Joyce Mary Klein; and his brothers, Earl, Duane and Everett Melvin.
He is survived by: his children, Paul of Austin, Terry (Johnnie) of Dripping Springs, Tim of North Branch, Cindy Wendt (Dan) of Grand, Mary Pries (Scott) of Plainview and Kay Perrotta (Victor) of Lake Elmo. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
