He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Gilbertson and Golda Gilbertson (Guttormson); and his brother Maynard. He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his sons, Gregory (Becky) of Plainview, Douglas of Elgin and Kurt (Shellie) of Zumbrota; his grandchildren, Philip (Brianna), Katie, Nathan, Spencer, Luke, Kayla, Cole, Caden, Jesse, Shannon and David; his great grandchild Myla Mae; his sister Mary Ann Wurst (Herbert); and his sister-in-law Lois Gilbertson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for Immanuel Lutheran Church Stained Glass Window Fund.
