It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Ann of Plainview, Minnesota, born in Nicollet, Minnesota, who passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Ginkel and Florence Ginkel (Wieland); her husband Donald L. Haimes; her sister Donna Mae; and her siblings-in-law, Jean and LeRoy German.
She is survived by: her children, Amber Kern of Roseville, Scott Haimes (Tess) of Brisbane, Kit Haimes of Plainview, Anthony "Tony" Haimes (Patty Ann) of Rochester and Brent Haimes of Elgin; her stepchildren, Colleen Szymanski (Mark) of Farmington, Michelle Mulvihill of New Prague, Chrisette Bany of Minneapolis, Melanie Glynn of Dover, Crystal Bany of Eyota, Cherise Rauter (Joe) of Muskego, WI and Monte Bany (Mary) of Lake City; and her siblings, Tamra Toso (John) of Arizona, Joyce Koss (Alan) of Plainview, Donald Ginkel (Nadine) of Colorado and Bruce Ginkel (Diana) of Kellogg. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
