She was predeceased by: her parents, William Boese and Ida Boese (Demuth); her husband Richard Wathen; and her sons-in-law, Bryon Whalen and Rod Brustad.
She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Brustad (Gale Nordstrum) of Madison, Jacqueline of Olivet, Joni (Dean Dethmers) of Pipestone, Jeanie (Gene Palmer) of Sioux Falls and Joy (Don Klingbile) of Brandon; her brother Bill, Jr. (Sandy Boese) of Cambridge, Minnesota; and her cousins, Shirley, Pauline Callahan of Minnetonka, Joe Demuth of Minneapolis and Carol Demuth (Don Wickstrom) of Toledo, Oregon.. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Leo Catholic Church - Pipestone (415 S Hiawatha Ave, Pipestone, MN 56164). A prayer will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at the St. Leo Catholic Cemetery (415 S Hiawatha Ave, Pipestone, MN 56164).
