She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Gehrke and Cora Gehrke (Ross); her son Joshua Frey; her siblings, Gar Gehrke and Kari Hamann; and her brother-in-law Gary Akkerman.
She is survived by: her husband Jim; her daughter Shawna Brandt (Jason) of Luverne; her grandchildren, Merrissa Haan (A. J.), Justice Brandt, Destiny, Kadia and Joshua; her daughter Amanda McTigue (Matt Dass); her grandchildren, Madison Bos (Tim), Morgan McTigue, Jayden Dass and Jaxson McTigue; and her sister Shirli Akkerman of Luverne. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
