He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Wartner and Mildred Wartner (Gagnon); and his brother Valgene Wartner. He is survived by: his wife Karen Budnick; his children, Kristi Pietig (Mick) of New London, Cory Wartner (Sara) of Excelsior Springs and Shawn Gast of Platte City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Joshua, Mariah, Levi, Mason, Tyler, Brystol, Aaron and Kelsey; his great grandchild Kamden; his brother Wayne (Marlene Wartner) of Arizona; and his sister-in-law Diane Wartner of Marshall, Minnesota. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
