He is survived by: his wife Kathy Hess of Pipestone; his children, Jason Hess (Pam) of Marshall, Lori Wiese (Scott) of Sioux Falls and Michelle Steineke of Dell Rapids; his grandchildren, Britani Wiese, Gabrielle Hess, Jacob Hess (Madilyn), Charles Wiese, Kyle Steineke (Morgan) and Katelyn Steineke; his great grandchild Bregan Steineke; and his siblings, Sharon Paetkau (John) of Pipestone, Harold Hess of Luverne, Ruth Estby (Alan) of Junction City, Delwin Hess of Luverne and Dale Hess (Sue) of Pipestone.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Pipestone County Hospice House or Christ the King Free Lutheran Church.
