He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Herman and Gladys Winsel (Otkin); his son Kevin; and his sisters, Delores Willert and Lorna Mae Goodman.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Winsel of Pipestone, Minnesota; his son Ken Winsel (Barb) of Woodstock; his grandchildren, Erin Winsel of Marshall, Brian Winsel (Elizabeth) of Holland, Emily Meyer (Josh) of Sioux Falls and Elizabeth Castle (Luke) of Brandon; his daughter Kandyce Peton (Greg) of Courtland; his grandchildren, Natasha Graham (Matt Calkins) of Lincoln and Barry Peton (Tanaha Simon) of New Palestine, Indiana; his son Kerry Winsel (Cindy) of Aurora, Colorado; and his siblings, Marlin Winsel (Joan) of Freeport, Illinois, Lois Hansen of Chanhassen and Marlys Gahn (Mike) of Rio Verde, Arizona.. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hartquist Funeral Home - Pipestone Chapel (320 2nd Ave SW, Pipestone, MN 56164). A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church - Holland (450 Carter Ave, Holland, MN 56139).
