He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Tuinstra and Cornelia Marie Tuinstra; and his siblings, Dick, Sophie, Gladys and Delia.

He is survived by: his wife Jonny Dee (Kindt); his children, Karla, Roy, Travis (Michele), Billy (Cindy) and Mike (Shanna); and his sister-in-law AnnaBelle (David). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
