He was predeceased by: his son Levi Kendrick; and his father Morris A. Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lynne; his daughter Kristi DoriAnn; his mother Doris Ilene Matthews; and his brothers, James Matthews (Luella) of Norfolk and Roger Matthews (Donna) of Knoxville, Tennessee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many other friends.
