She is survived by: her children, Gerald "Jerry" VanderPlaats of Rhinelander, Pat Carstensen (Dan) of Trosky and William "Bill" VanderPlaats (Tami) of Pipestone; her grandchildren, Rebecca Perkins (Kevin), Kristie Johnson (Jeff Layer), Aaron VanderPlaats (Dianne), Mark O'Connor (Casey Sommers), Shawn Mills, Thomas VanderPlaats (Stacie), Tamara Gronbach, Janna Havel (Matt), Kory Krempges, Kyle Krempges, Keith Krempges, Janelle Sagataw (Lance), Cassie Woitaszewski (Jed) and Logan VanderPlaats (Mariah Vikander); her great grandchildren, Nick, KayLynn, Amber (Aaron), Grant, Damion, Deagen, Emma, Raegan, Jack, Kamryn, Ella, Adlee, Axton, Watson, Jerica, Makaden, Jonathan, Gemma, Larry, Jesse, Marissa, Madison and Joshua; her great great grandchild Laura; her sister-in-law Genevieve VanderPlaats; and her children-in-law, Teresa VanderPlaats, Janice Wandansega and Bernie Krempges (Julie).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Leo Catholic Church - Pipestone (415 S Hiawatha Ave, Pipestone, MN 56164). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at the St. Leo Catholic Cemetery (415 S Hiawatha Ave, Pipestone, MN 56164).
